2024 FIA EUROPEAN AUTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP, ROUND 3.
Autocross sport dates back to 1940, when local automobile sport clubs in the UK began to compete in a race among themselves on the gravel pavement.
Eventually, this sport branch spread throughout the Europe, and in 1976, the International Automobile Sports Federation (FIA) created standardized Autocross rules. Since then, the European Autocross cup was started, which later was promoted to be the Old Continent’s championship. In the course of time, the established rules divided the participants into categories according to the type of steered technique:
In Super Buggy division participants compete with the most powerful buggies with all-wheel drive and the most powerful engines.
In the Buggy 1600 class, the capacity of the buggy engine can not exceed 1600cm³ for the atmospheric power plant, or 941cm³ if the engine is equipped with a turbine or compressor.
The Junior Buggy class is designed for young people, and the engines of the buggies cannot exceed 600 cc. However, this number is very deceptive – team technicians squeeze out the maximum and Junior Buggy barrels along.
The Cross Car class can participate people from 16 years age. Reminiscent of a hybrid of buggy and go-kart hybrid, the Cross Car can develop up to 130 hp.
2023 LITHUANIAN – LATVIAN RX CHAMPIONSHIP, ROUND 4.
The Lithuanian-Latvian Rally Cross Championship is one of the largest motor sports disciplines in the Baltic region. During these competitions, not only the Lithuanian rallycross elite compete in Vilkyčiai, but also the fastest participants from neighboring Latvia. Famous Estonian and Finnish rallycross athletes often appear in the competition. in 2022 during the season, about 90 athletes were classified in all car classes.
Spectators of the rallycross competition are always fascinated by its dynamics: there are plenty of contacts, sharp moments, and the events on the track are significantly diversified by the “Joker Lap” rule.
The following car classes participate in the competition:
YARIS Cup (Junior) / LADA RX / SUPER 1600 / SUPER 2000 / BMW RX 3000 / XTREME (crosscar buggies) / SUPERCAR.

A month later, the Lithuanian-Latvian Rally Cross Championship returns to Vilkyčiai again!
